Online - Natural Kinds and Classification in Scientific Practice (seminar)

To what extent does the natural world fall into discrete and well defined kinds? What are scientists doing when they divide their phenomena of interests into kinds, and why are they doing it? Questions like that are in the center of the seminar. We will read the anthology of Catherine Kendig (Routledge 2016) on that topic.
