About Me

After I graduated from the University of Dortmund with an MBA (Dipl.-Kffr.) I worked a couple of years in developing knowledge transfer networks, doing innovation policy research, and business development. In 2016 I received my Master’s in Philosophy (Master’s Thesis “Moral Foundations of Adam Smith’s Economic Theory”), and in 2017 I started my doctoral studies at the Ludwig- Maximilians University of Munich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Stephan Sellmaier.

Research Interests

I’m interested in empirically informed ethical decision making, in particular, in investigating the limits of human cognition and its integration into theorizing about human virtues. My focus lies at the intersection of various disciplines, including moral psychology, neuroscience, and evolutionary anthropology.

Doctoral Thesis: “Investigation of Moral Judgment: Human Limits and Virtues”
